Epiphany Explorers October Update

We cannot leave Hunter Printing hanging any longer. We have two options.

1. Have the Flores family darken the design. Print the shirts on the orange t-shirts that Hunter has ordered for us.  (Here is a preliminary comparison using computer darkening.)
2. Cancel the T-shirt order with Hunter. Use the signs we have with the original design and consider Explorer T-shirts another time. We can wear the Epiphany Spirit shirts for Explorer activities.

We will be arriving and getting the headquarters cabin ("Hickory") and our campsite before the ranger station closes and the gates are locked at sunset.  If you are coming in on Friday night, please let us know so we can expect you.  If you are coming in late, call the park in advance to get late arrival instructions and the gate code.  If we can be of assistance, such as getting a cabin key in advance, we will be happy to help.  Cell phone service is spotty so it may be difficult to reach us once we are settled in.  Checking in on Saturday morning is not a problem.  When you arrive, look for us either in the "Hickory" cabin or the Lakeview Campground.

As always you will be responsible for bringing your own lunch, drinks, snacks and breakfasts. For Saturday dinner, we will be cooking a large turkey in the oven in the group cabin.  Please bring a side dish to share and we will have a potluck supper.  Let me know what you want to bring so I can coordinate and plan a good variety.  We will still have a traditional campfire with marshmallows, S’mores and hotdogs in the evening.

This park is some of the best family biking around.  Helmets are required.  Let us know if you need help transporting your bikes or if you can help transport.  We have a flat bed trailer if someone has a hitch to pull it.  Between our camper and kayaks, we are running out of load capacity.
