Epiphany Explorers Blue Springs Kayak Outing
The attendance at the Blue Springs kayaking outing was "underwhelming". Only one family came late in the afternoon. The few who where there had a good time. With the colder weather, limited participation at the outings, and the addition of new clubs at Epiphany, we are rethinking our winter schedule.
1. We will coordinate our school meetings around the other clubs so that the kids don’t have to choose among them. We will meet on Monday, December 10 from 2:45-3:45.
2. We will not plan a group outing in December, but we will offer the kayaking at Blue Springs on a "request" basis throughout the month. If your family would like to meet us at Blue Springs for an afternoon, call us (719-6902) and we will coordinate our schedules. Many cold mornings turn into warm, sunny afternoons when it is pleasant on the water.
3. Third, if we have a Winter Camp-in, there is only one cabin available this winter at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park for the rest of the winter months. We could hike the Florida Trail in the park, bike, and do some fun orienteering activities. A family could rent it for the weekend and use it as a base camp. Other families could come for the day or camp in the campground. There are several cabins available in February at Stephen C. Foster State Park in Fargo, GA if several families wanted camp. We need to move quickly to reserve them once we make a decision.
We need you to do three things:
