Epiphany Explorers
Planning Meeting for 2009-2010 School Year
All
Epiphany families are invited to the Epiphany Explorers planning
meeting, 7:00 PM, Friday evening, August 28, at Bruce and Sandy Lyon’s
home (331 SW Angela Terrace, Lake City
FL, 32024). This is a family meeting; children are welcome.
Please bring a dessert to share, your calendars, and any ideas you have
for family outings.
We will schedule the activities and outings
for the 2009-2010 school year. The Explorers is a family based
outdoor club. We enjoy monthly family trips to nearby
outdoor/wilderness areas as well as weekend camping trips.

One important change from last year, we will
no longer be having classroom sessions after school. While the
classroom sessions were good learning opportunities, less than 8-10
students and parents could attend. In contrast, the weekend
outings were well attended (10-30 people), more fun, and a much better
use of everybody’s time.
